Review Time! Lilee Box (June)

Hi BFFs. If you are looking for some new products to try, you've come to the right blog. See, when the fabulous crew at Beauty Box 5 approached me about reviewing a subscription box for their sister company Lilee, I jumped at the chance. I knew that if the box was anything like the Beauty Box 5 subscription box, it would be awesome. This box had so many goodies, I feel like a total spoiled princess. I won't keep the suspense much longer... Here's my review!

When it comes to appearance, this box gets a A++++. The box is so pretty, you can easily re-use it as a gift box, or even as a decorative storage box.

After removing the ribbon seal and opening the lid, I found that the content of the box was wrapped in black crepe paper secured with a golden seal. I knew I was in for something special.

Below the card with the descriptions of all the items, I instantly noticed the first products:

Cell Renewing Microfoliant - Kaplan MD $45

This facial scrub, which contains fruit enzymes with natural abrasives is said to nourish and gently exfoliate your skin. I must be honest... I am very hesitant putting anything on my face that my dermatologist hasn't approved. I use scrubs regularly, and decided to test it on my arm first. When that worked well, I applied some of the scrub to my moist face while taking a shower and gently massaged it in a circular motion. Since then, I've used the scrub four times already. Yes, my BFFs, this scrub left my face with a natural glow. My skin appeared refreshed and smooth although I was seriously sleep deprived. I would definitely recommend this scrub if your skin appears a little dull and could use a wake-up-call.

Pyramid Earrings - Jeri Warlick $45

These gold pyramid-shaped earrings are a nice twist to the common hoop earrings. Although they are gold, they look casual enough so you can even wear them with a pair of jeans. As a hardcore fan of silver jewelry, these earrings sure made me think twice. They are quickly growing on me, and I think I'll be expanding my gold jewelry collection shortly.

Soaking Crystals - Herbs & Oils Bath $17

Since I have not used these soaking crystals yet, I will just give my initial observation as a review. These sea salt crystals with sage and mint essential oils are said to tone and stimulate skin and relax nerves. Smelling the crystals instantly puts me in a 'spa-day' mood and wakes me up. I can see how these would help relax and calm you. Can't wait to try them.

Better Skin Mirakle Cream - The Better Skin Co. $34

The cream in this little jar certainly lives up to its name. After doing a patch test, I tried the cream at night time and I am hooked. After applying it, my skin tingled slightly which told me that something was happening. It has a very light scent that you hardly even notice. Looking in the mirror right after applying it, I instantly saw a healthy glow. The next morning, my skin looked rested, small lines in my forehead were gone and my skin appeared moisturized yet not greasy. I use this cream every night now, and when it runs out, I will have to order some more.

Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil $18 & Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Color Pencil $18 - Chella

I love a good highlighter, but this one, I am sad to say, didn't do it for me. Although it did highlight my cheekbones, applying it was a little tricky. Imagine drawing on your skin with a pencil and trying to blend it with your fingertips. It was quite the challenge since the pencil was quite dry and didn't blend well. The eyebrow pencil wasn't my shade, so I didn't use it and can't really speak on it. However, after applying it to my hand, I did notice that it took several strokes before a decent amount of color was deposited.

Fairy Lashes Curl - Jelly Pong Pong - $21.95

When it comes to mascara, you guys know that I am obsessed with finding one that rocks. Although this mascara did a decent job at curling my lashes, it was not the best mascara I've ever used. I found that it took a lot of strokes before a good amount of product was deposited. Other than that, it did an ok job.
