Review Time - Beauty Box 5! (Oct.)

Hi my lovely BFFs. Hope you are having a wonderful day. I sure am, because I just received another Beauty Box 5 with some spectacular goodies in it. As you might know by now, Beauty Box 5 is a subscription box that you can get every month. I will make sure to post links and more about the company at the bottom of this page. I know that sharing is caring, so continue reading to find out what was in my October Beauty Box 5. FYI, the theme for this box was 'Girl Boss' which I completely loved.

Amlactin - Ultra hydrating body cream - $2.99

I've used this cream several times now since I received my box. I apply it mainly to my elbows, knees, feet and ankles. It's a thick lotion that feels like a protective layer on your skin. This ultra hydrating body cream is especially made for severely dry skin. It also aids in the treatment of Keratosis Pilaris (KP). All you have to do is apply it twice a day and ideally follow it up with sunscreen.

Emory + Ivory - Custom Nail Appliques - $12.99

This is right up my alley BFFs. I don't always feel like polishing my nails, or going to the nail salon. (You gals know what I'm talking about) I was so happy to get these nail appliques. They are basically stickers that cover your nails. After applying the stickers, you simply file the sticker in place. Unlike press-on nails, these stickers are hard to notice. You can even stretch them to make sure they fit your fingers.

Chella - Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil - $18

I got this highlighter pencil before in one of my earlier Beauty Box 5 packets. I have to say, I'm so happy to have a second pencil, because they are so convenient when you are in a rush (story of my life). Open up your eyes by lining the waterline with this bright pencil, or use it to accentuate the arch of your brow or your cupid's bow. This little treasure is so easy to use. A definite must-have for the girl boss in you!

Color Me - Femme Gold - $10

A girl can never have too many perfumes. I adore perfume and wear it daily. My Beauty Box 5 had a perfume sample in it of Femme Gold. I have not worn it yet, but did smell it. It has a fruity/citrus like scent. It smelled a little strong, so I'm sure this scent will last for a long time. When it comes to perfume, I usually wear high-end designer brands, but this sample will come in handy for when I run out and need a quick fragrance fix.

Real Her - Moisturizing Lipstick - $18

I love a gorgeous lipstick and the first thing I noticed was the beautiful packaging of this lippy. After opening it, I tried on the color, but it wasn't flattering on me. It was too pale for my skin tone and made my teeth look yellow. (BFFs, you know I say it like it is... You never have to worry about that) I did notice that it felt really nice on my lips, almost like lip balm. Just for this reason, I will not let it go to waste. I might try blending it with another lippy to create a somewhat darker color that will look flattering with my skin tone. Keep in mind, this is just one color that I got, there are plenty more that I'm sure will compliment a whole range of skin tones.
