Review Time! Burberry Essentials Fresh Glow
Hi BFFs, thanks for checking out my blog again. You know I always love and appreciate your company and I cannot wait to share the beautiful makeup I received from Burberry and Influenster. I'm feeling quite spoiled right now!
The first thing I noticed when I received the Burberry box was the packaging. I’m a total girlie girl and when something has pretty packaging, I’m already 50% sold! When I opened he box, the products were just “smiling” at me and “calling my name”. If you could see my face, you probably would have laughed. In Europe, Burberry is known as a high-end, classy brand that’s very sophisticated, and well, let’s just say that this box lived up to its expectations.
Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base
The first item in the box was the Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base in Golden Radiance nr. 02. This product can be used on its own on clean, bare skin or it can be mixed into your foundation. Either way, it’s said to leave a beautiful glow behind that makes you look radiant due to the reflection pearls in the liquid. When I applied it to my bare skin, it felt and looked like a thin layer of liquid gold. Very subtle yet beautiful. I found that if you use it under your makeup as a primer it somewhat gets hidden and the glow doesn't really shine through. However, if you mix it into your foundation, the glow does shine through. Also, a little goes a long way. A few drops of the fluid base is enough to make your skin look radiant all day long.
Fresh Glow Highlighter
The second item I received in the Burberry box was the Fresh Glow Highlighter in Rose Gold nr. 04. I am in love with this beautiful illuminating powder. You just need a little of it and they can see you on the moon. I applied the highlighter everywhere the sun would touch my face. Generally, that’s on my cheekbone area up toward my temples and on the vertical bridge of my nose. I also like applying some along my collarbones to emphasize that area. Although it feels like you’re not wearing anything because it’s so lightweight, when you see your reflection in the mirror, you absolutely notice the glow. I should warn you though, when you see how this highlighter works, you might feel tempted to apply it all over your face. I was…. I should also say; this product is so pretty that I almost didn’t want to stroke my brush over it. All kinds of gorgeousness!
The Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen
The third item that came in the Burberry essentials box was the Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen in Nude Radiance nr. 01. I always like using pens for everything because they are so easy to use. This one I will be using a lot. This highlighting pen can be used in similar areas as the Fresh Glow Highlighter mentioned above. However, I find it ideal for accentuating my cupids bow (The little curve in the center of your upper lip). If you don’t have a prominent curve, or if you want to make yours stand out even more, this pen can do the trick. It will last a long time also, because your don’t need to apply a lot to get the desired result.
Well, those were the three items I received and I am wearing all three in all the photos on this page. The Burberry Essentials box is quite pricey if you are on a budget, but they are well worth the investment since they last a long time and do what they say. For me, honestly, I like the highlighting powder and the pen the best since those make the biggest difference. If I had to pick between those two, I’d pick the pen because of it’s easy application.
