FUN WITH FASHION (JAN-MAR)

Hi BFFs, hope you’re all doing fab! It’s time for another Fun with Fashion segment, so sit tight and enjoy the ride! I live in California, so even during the cooler months, it’s still warm enough to show some skin as you will see in my pics. In addition to Vans and my go-to store Charlotte Russe, most of the fashions I showed on my recent Instagram posts were from a collaboration I did with @shoptobi. I love their clothes (they have Kim written all over them). Here are some of the highlights all in one place.

The Perfect Summer Dress

When I saw a photo of this little number I was instantly sold. I love how the top part is fitted and how the bottom part just flares out and lightly dances on your legs. In addition to being super flattering, the colors are perfect for those warm spring or summer days. I paired this dress with a little Burberry pouch some beige sandals that closely resemble my skin tone. (Kim Tip: Wearing flesh colored shoes makes your legs look longer - heels are not always needed)

Must-Have Sweater

Every girl must have at least one oversized sweater. I have several and they always come in handy. Whether it’s that time of the month and bloat got the better of you, or whether you just don’t want to bother with tight-fitting clothes, an oversizer is always fashionable and cute. Heck, put your hair in a bun, put some kicks on your feet and off you go. If it’s chilly outside, add a pair of leggings and you can still be comfy. Yes BFF, I believe comfort is essential no matter what you wear!!!! (Kim Tip: If clothing is uncomfortable, don’t wear it! Everyone will be able to tell that you’re not chillin’ in your outfit. Just think of that one girl you saw wearing stiletto heels and pretended she could walk in them, but instead she looked like she was a struggling mess – ALL BAD!). BTW, oversized sweaters are ideal all year long, even on a cool summer evening!

Classy Sexy

I love a formfitting dress like the off-the-shoulder dress from Shop Tobi in this shot. Yes, it’s a sexy look and there is nothing wrong with that. I’m a firm believer that if a girl carries herself in a classy way (and not a trashy way), she can wear whatever she wants. I simply paired this dress with nude heels and kept accessorizing simple. This dress is perfect for a warm evening date night or another special occasion. On a little side note, the clothing on tobi.com is very affordable, so make sure to check it out.

Got Jeans?

Although I love skirts and dresses, I am also a big fan of jeans. Nobody likes to go shopping with me, because I am indecisive af and can take hours to try to find the right pair of jeans. I feature a lot of Charlotte Russe clothing on my Insta, because it’s one of my favorite stores. Their jeans are my fave right now. They have them in so many different colors and styles, you cannot go wrong. BTW in case you were wondering, the brand is not paying me to say any of this. The jeans in this shot are their so-called boyfriend jeans that are pretty loose fitting and although they are ripped, they still don’t look too grungy. The top is a body stocking by Shop Tobi.

I’m a Legging Girl

I am absolutely a legging girl. A good pair of legging can be worn in so many ways. (Ooooh feeling inspired to do a video on this hmmm). I usually wear mine with boots, sneakers or sandals – it all depends on the look I’m trying to create. (Kim Tip: Definitely cover your crotch when you wear leggings!!!! All ladies know what I’m talking about. I didn’t during this shoot, but these black leggings from Charlotte Russe were very forgiving. Generally, I do wear a blazer, or shirt that is a little on the long side. When I do wear a cropped top with leggings, I might also tie a shirt around my waist. This way, I don’t have to worry about that dreaded camel toe. Don’t get me wrong, this only goes for fashion leggings, not fitness leggings)!

Well BFFs, I will be showing a lot more fashions over the coming months on my Instagram, so make sure to check it out and join my Instafam. Also, don't forget that I love to read your comments on this segment. Feel free to sound off below to let me know what look(s) you like best. Sharing is caring. xo
